A graduate of Pearl City High School in Honolulu, HI, Seta
attended the University of Hawaii Manoa on a full music scholarship.
After graduating with a secondary degree in education in 1987, Seta
became the director for the then 15-year-old Moanalua High School Music
Department. Through his guidance, the music department grew from 2
bands, an orchestra, and a marching band to what it is today. Seta
has received numerous teaching awards over the years, most recently the
2003 Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award.

Jazz BandKnown as Ms. B., Rhona Barbosa is
currently completing her seventh year at Moanalua High School. Ms. B
previously taught at McKinley and Aiea High School from 1997-1998. In
addition to teaching, she is a member of the Hawaii Music Educators’
Association, Oahu Band Directors’ Association, American Choral
Directors’ Association, Music Educators’ National Conference and the
Central District Band Festival Committee.

the newest of the directors. He received his Bachelor’s
degree in Secondary Music Education from the University of Hawaii.

Concert ChoirA graduate of Radford
High School, Masuno completed her education at the University of Hawaii
at Manoa. She became part of the MoHS family in 1988 and continues
to inspire her students, having 2 of her very own that have gone through
the MoHS music program.
